Q: What is the longest book you’ve read? What are your favorite 600+ page reads?

The longest book I've read has got to be the first two books in A Song of Ice & Fire.  I saw that the show was going to start on HBO last year, and thought it looked like a great read.  So far those are the only two I read.  I need to pick up the third one soon.

My favorite 600+ reads would have to be the last books in the Harry Potter series.  Yes I'm one of those people. I was so sad to see the story end, but loved the journey these books took me on.

So what's the longest book you've read, and what are your favorite long reads?

  1. The A Song of Ice and Fire books are really good. Savor the rest of the series slowly, because it'll be a couple of years yet before Martin publishes the next one :)

  2. Thanks for that tidbit. I love them so far. I've had to compile a list to keep all the characters straight.

  3. Haven't read Game of Thrones yet but I have seen the first few episodes of the show and it is excellent.
    Thanks for stopping by.

  4. Lauren, the show follows the book pretty closely. I can't wait for the new season. :D

  5. If you consider the fact that the version of The Lord of The Rings I read was the one that’s one book with the 3 parts inside (1202 pages in the brazilian version), that would be the longest book I’ve ever read. But if you consider series to favorite 600+ page reads, hands down, Harry Potter. Not so much for the story, but for the feeling it brings me every time I think about it.

    I'm a new follower, btw!

  6. I agree about Harry Potter. It just gives me happy butterflies. :D I haven't read The Lord of the Rings in years. I need to do a re-read.
